Sleepy Creek Family Campground is a family camping destination where nature and togetherness create lasting memories. Under new ownership as of June, 2025, we’re excited to share our vision for this beloved nature retreat.

 

Our Story

 

In 2024, Dave and Cyndi, the heart and soul of Sleepy Creek on the Potomac, decided to pass the torch to pursue the next chapter of their lives. Enter Rian and Cheryl, a couple whose lifelong love for camping fueled their dream of owning a campground. June, 2025, they became the proud new owners, renaming the campground Sleepy Creek Family Campground to reflect their heartfelt mission.

 

Why "Family"?

 

We added “Family” to our name for three special reasons:

Family-Owned and On-Site: Rian and Cheryl aren’t just owners—they’re your neighbors, living right here at Sleepy Creek. Unlike distant corporations, we’re here to greet you with a smile, answer your questions, and ensure your stay feels like home.
